John Worrel entered the financial services profession in 1995 after a successful career in the computerized tax processing and business information industry.  As a financial advisor, John is committed to providing counsel and unbiased guidance to his clients and his focus is to help them to wisely spend, save, invest, insure and plan for the future.  

Professionally, John is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and a past board member of NAIFA-Greater New Orleans.  He is an ethics approved member of the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (RFC®) whose members must meet high standards of education, experience and integrity.  John holds the designation of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) with additional studies in life insurance and business and estate planning.  John also holds the Certified Income Specialist designation (CIS™) from the Institute of Business and Finance. John is an Investment Advisory Representative of Ameritas Investment Corp. (AIC) with FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 and 24 registrations.

John graduated from Jesuit High School and attended the University of New Orleans where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. At the University of New Orleans, John was a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity and served as their president and treasurer and was also a member and treasurer of the American Marketing Association. John is also past president and of Northshore Toastmasters.

John is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) which is The Premier Association of Financial Professionals® and Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. Leader’s Court and President’s Club.

John is a native of New Orleans and resides in Mandeville, LA with his wife, Erin. They are the parents of four children and became grandparents in late 2017 and spend as much time as possible with their granddaughter.  The rest of the time, John enjoys spending time with friends and family, fishing, gardening, model trains and supporting the local sports teams.
